Reasons to work with me

My path to Product Management isn’t the typical one, and that’s what makes it my greatest strength.

While many Product Managers come from Sales or Engineering backgrounds, I bring something different to the table: a rare blend of deep technical understanding and customer-centric thinking, forged through years of hands-on experience in customer and technical support for global companies like Apple, PayPal, and Vonage (now part of Ericsson).

I didn’t follow the traditional academic route: after studying computer science in France, I chose real-world experience over a degree, moving to Ireland and later the UK to build a career across industries. Starting in operational roles (data entry, collections, customer support), I quickly developed a passion for process optimization, problem-solving, and bridging gaps between technical teams and end users.

My break into Product Management came when Vonage recognized my ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights — promoting me from Technical Support Engineer to Product Manager after just 18 months. Since then, I’ve thrived in defining product strategies, refining user experiences, and aligning technical constraints with business goals — all while keeping the customer’s perspective at the heart of every decision.

What sets me apart

• A hybrid mindset

I speak both “tech” and “human”, making me equally effective in collaborating with engineers, designing user flows & simplifying complex ideas for stakeholders

• Battle-tested adaptability

Having worked in France, Ireland, and the UK, I navigate cultural nuances, remote collaboration, and fast-changing priorities with ease

• A relentless focus on impact

Whether it’s boosting campaign acceptance rates by 31% (as I did at Vonage) or streamlining onboarding processes, I measure success by real-world results.

If you’re looking for a Product Manager who combines technical depth, customer empathy, and a fresh perspective — let’s build something meaningful together

here’s what my co-workers have to say about my work

I worked closely with Maxime for more than 2 years and can say he was a very valuable asset to our team.

He successfully bridged the gap between technical and product teams thanks to his good understanding of technical concepts and product strategy. His wide range of interests allowed him to grasp the big picture and find creative solutions to the issues we faced.

Moreover, Maxime’s positive energy, strong communication skills and candor were great qualities for our team. He was a major contributor to our positive team spirit. He is also a very good listener and considers all feedback to foster collaboration.

Given the chance, I’d work again with Maxime without any hesitation.

Rémi Courtel | February 2025

Engineer -- 10DLC Technical lead, Vonage

Maxime is a young talented Product Manager whom I had the opportunity to watch transition from Customer Support to a challenging Product Management position.

Past the initial hurdles of adapting to the new role, and understanding a world that isn’t moved by the same motors as the Customer Support’s one, Maxime proved to be a great asset to the organisation he is a part of. His curiosity, and his attention to details along with his willingness to do the right thing and ask questions allow him to – most often – find the right solutions to the problems he has to solve, and when this isn’t the case, his interpersonal skills permit him to find those who can help him figure out the best options to reach a good solution.

I have seen Maxime evolve with consistency over the last 2 years and can confidently say that he is on the right track to a successful career in Product Management.
